Fruits are a gift from heaven. Human has been using them for various purposes since the beginning of the day. They can act as food, provide us with nutrients; they can be our skincare method, help us get perfectly beautiful skin and even makeup. Some fruits have so much nutrition and bring so many benefits they are called “super fruits”. So, let’s find out about these super fruits together:

Kiwi

  • The first organic fruit on the list is Kiwi. Kiwi contains: folate (helps make red blood cells and prevent anemia), potassium (reduces cellulite and strengthen the bones), fibre (beneficial for the cardiovascular system), carotenoids (good for skin and eye health), polyphenols (defenses against ultraviolet radiation), chlorophyll (strengthen blood-producing organs) and glutathione (detoxifying agent).
  • A unique source of Vitamin E because most sources of this important vitamin, like nuts and oils, are high in both fat and calories. Kiwi, by contrast, offers its rich nutritional bounty for only about 93 calories for two kiwis.
  • Kiwi is also extremely rich in antioxidant. Offering a rich bounty of Vitamin C – 1 kiwi contain even more vitamin C than an orange – kiwi can be relied upon to help neutralise the free radicals that damage cells, ultimately leading to inflammation and cancer. Vitamin C plays an important role in so many functions of the body, including the immune system, and is associated with preventing a lot of ailments — from asthma and atherosclerosis to osteoarthritis and colon cancer. It’s no wonder that high consumption of foods containing the vitamin C reduces the risk of mortality from all causes including cancer, heart disease and stroke.
